COLOUR COMPOSITION! - Assignment 2

1. SHALLOW DEPTH.

Shot @ f 3.6, 1/320 , image size 4000 x 3000 px

I selected this picture for shallow depth because the camera has zoomed in very clearly
on the dandelion ( i think it is) and this in turn blurs out the background so that
the whole flower/plant is the main focus of the photo.

2. GREAT DEPTH.

Shot @ f 4.0, 1/30 , image size 4000 x 3000 px

I took this photo with the camera slightly tilted towards the ceiling so
i could portray the great depth, or rather, depict the vast amount of space in front of me.
This makes it seem as if the whole pathway is really really lengthy and would
need time to cover the distance.

3. BLUR MOTION.

Shot @ f 8.0, 1/40 , image size 4000 x 3000 px

This was one of the easiest photos i managed to take.
It was sheer luck that i could take this in time.
A picture like this is captured via the mode Shutter Priority, and
it's amazing how only the car is in blur motion while the rest of the picture is
really clear and defined.

4. FREEZE MOTION.

Shot @ f 2.8 , 1/1000, image size 4000 x 3000 px

Ah, the typical freeze motion.
Now this, unlike the car picture above, focuses on the boy as well so
every little bit of motion would be captured on camera.
Why do i choose to take picture of a boy walking?
People would think its typical and common, but i think it's
a great picture to depict our everyday lives and the complications we face.
We're always moving that is, never stopping.

5. DOMINANCE.

Shot @ f 3.2, 1/60, image size 4000 x 3000 px

Part of the reason why i selected this was because of the background, white versus the
camera black which would definitely stand out as the
'dominant' one.
The other reason is that we can see that the camera is prominently
displayed whereas the background is just a little blur in the background, so
it also shows the camera's dominance.

6. BALANCE.

Shot @ f 4.0, 1/500, image size 4000 x 3000 px

Why did i snap a picture of dustbins?
Yes I think this would be the irony, but i just felt
there was a tinge of balance in this. Look at the dustbins,
they're neatly spaced, and although with plastic bags placed at different corners of it,
it seems very matching for them together with the background.

7. PROPORTION.

Shot @ f 3.6, 1/1000 , image size 4000 x 3000 px

Ah this is chosen simply because Junior's pictured as the smaller one whereas
the balcony of FMS building is much much higher and is depicted as the very tall one.
I took this picture from a low angle.

8. REPETITION/RHYTHM.

Shot @ f 8.0, 1/800 , image size 4000 x 3000 px
I selected this picture because i believe it has the repetition embedded in it.
It might have the same figure and it keeps on repeating forever, but
the way it was structured has a very forward-moving rhythm to it.

Shot @f 4.0, 1/30 , image size 4000 x 3000 px

This picture was selected because although it has the same shape, it has different designs and
this creates a very funky, creative rhythm to it.
Oh and i picked two pictures for repetition because i felt both of these pictures
deserved to be displayed :D

9. COLOUR EFFECTS.

Shot @ f 2.8, 1/40 , image size 4000 x 3000 px

As for the color effects, i captured the FMS building using the mode Sepia
as it would give off a very antique feeling to our school,
Since our school is full of beautiful memories, using this mode would help to
further enhance the depiction of how lovely and memory-packed this school is. (:
